I'm a happily married woman in my early 30's. I have one step-daughter, college age, and one child who was born June 2008. Woohoo!!
We have a super-smart Border Collie that loves to herd all the birds in the yard.
I'm always ready for a good jog in the park or a ride on the Harley with my husband.
I like anything that ignites my child-like sense of wonder. I think this is something no one should grow out of -- it's the magical gift from our Creator that puts meaning in the everyday little things, and we can learn and discover a lot from that.
I'm a wanna-be writer, librarian, triathlon athlete, dulcimer-player, artist, philospher, counselor, and hortilculturist LOL!! (I'm 100% sure I'll remain a wanna-be in all these things...my talents are quite limited... but I can still dream!)
Books I want to try to read before baby arrives.....
(besides Mayo Clinics Guide to Healthy Pregnancy).....
Sailing Between the Stars by Steven James Total Truth by Nancy Pearcey Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke The Weight of Glory by C.S. Lewis Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton
These are the first few out of many.
I will never be able to finish all these in nine months. I love to read, but I'm not a fast reader, nor do I have the time I would like to to devote to reading.
People that gossip and feed off other people's drama.
Negative attitudes
T-Shirts that say things like..."Your mom would like me" or "I have multiple personalities...I can date you and your friends." (C'mon, do you really think that's a babe magnet??) Or "If I throw a stick will you go away?" or "You were an ugly baby". I've seen all of these and worse. I mean....C'MON!!!
People that say "like" or "j'st" (just) ...just...like...way too much in one sentence.
Pants that make someone look like they're joined at the knees and have to constantly "hold up" that stature.
Loud rap music....(okay, you like it..fine...but not everybody wants to hear it)
Bad language
"I don't get mad, I get even" mentality. I've seen this get really ugly in co-workers.
Things I DO like....
Nice people....they're COOL! (this includes people that give constructive criticism...the kind that may seem mean to some people...the kind of people that are real with you, and not tell you what you want to hear, but are genuinely concerned with your well-being. ... Now they're really, REALLY COOL!).
Positive people
Someone who isn't afraid of stage fright ( I wanna be like you!)
Dark chocolate (I mean REALLY dark chocolate)
Oreo cookies dunked in milk
A good ghost story
A good mystery story
Enthusiastic people
A child-like sense of wonder
Books
Music that's original and written by the performer, and even better if odd instruments are thrown in.
